Devlog #2 - A new month
Now that it’s October I have less than 3 months left to finish the demo.
Thankfully though things are starting to come together and I have the scope of the demo all mapped out. Most of the code systems are ready and in a good state to scale up to the scope of the demo and beyond.
This week I’ve spent a lot of time working on making the game feel more interactive with UI to support it.
- custom cursors
- hover text
- feedback text
I’ve also made a lot of progress with being able to use items on objects like chests and doors and other items for crafting purposes.
Chests and doors will have various tiers (wood, iron, steel, gold) and need a key of the corresponding tier to open. Or you can use a lockpick item! Progress is going good and although there is still not too much visuals to show yet, here is what the first room looks like.
Super excited to continue working on it more and share the progress in future dev logs.
More to come soon!
